Fraud against the Cherokee people of Georgia
Fraudulent Group Number 1
(The) GeorgiatribeofEasternCherokee.com (Total Fake).
This site is run by a man by the name of Johnny Chattin. He has been prohibited by Court Order dating back to the year 2000 from using the name of the Georgia Tribe of Eastern Cherokee in any way.See attached Court Order from the Lumpkin County Superior Court where he resides. He criminally continues to fraudulently use the name in spite of the restraining order against him.
He was allowed to obtain the Dot. Com name, for his web site by adding the word (The) in front of our legitimate name. Georgia Tribe of Eastern Cherokee. It is sad to realize than anyone by adding just one digit or letter to a name, can obtain a dot. Com name almost identical to the legitimate name. In this case Johnny Chattin put the word (The) in front of our Tribal name and obtained the dot com name he now uses. Notice that he states that he is not incorporated. The reason why the state of Georgia thru its Secretary of State is protects the true Georgia Tribe of Eastern Cherokee from such fraud that Johnny Chattin in now involved in.
Please notice the activities he is involved in. Read his notice to his so-called members, they must pay a monthly TAX of $12.00 to him to stay on his fake list.
FRAUD IS ALWAYS ABOUT MONEY and fleecing innocent people.
Fraudulent Group Number 2
Georgia Tribe of Eastern Cherokee Echota Fire (UKB) (Total Fake). This fraudulent group was first started by two men named William Dover and Charles Thurmond. Notice, they claim to be associated with the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians of Oklahoma. Not True,TOTAL FRAUD. That group disbanded by complaints from the United Keetoowah Band of Oklahoma.
However, another con-man named William Taylor of Cherokee; North Carolina (Qualla Boundary) revived the fraud by incorporating the name, Georgia Tribe of Eastern Cherokee Echota Fire, Inc.
William Taylor is non-Cherokee but is married to woman enrolled with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. Her maiden name is Locust, living on Locust Road in Cherokee, North Carolina. Mr. Taylor for years sold FAKE memberships to individuals and groups all over the United States, assuring them that they belonged to the true Georgia Tribe of Eastern Cherokee, the State recognized Tribe. This fraudulent activity was reported to the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and was totally ignored, continuing to allow William Taylor to sell fake memberships in the True Georgia Tribe of Eastern Cherokee, from his own home address in Cherokee, North Carolina, as well as other addresses in Georgia. That fake group was taken over by a Carlton Patterson, of Copper Hill, Tenn. However, they from fear of being charged with criminal activity have failed to re-register their Fake Corporation of Georgia Tribe of Eastern Cherokee, Echota Fire ,since the year 2009. However, they still attempt to sell fake memberships in the true Georgia Tribe of Eastern Cherokee. This FAKE group also charges a per capita TAX to all of their FAKE Members.
Fraud Number 3
William Dover and Charles Thurmond, continue to claim leadership in their false group described above, as well as using the name of the true Georgia Tribe of Eastern Cherokee and the Echota Fire group as well.
ALL OF THESE PEOPLE ARE NAMED IN THE COURT ORDER attached, enjoining them all from using the name Georgia Tribe of Eastern Cherokee and holding themselves out as legitimate members of the State recognized Tribe of Cherokee people. All are in Contempt of Court and are being so charged.
Court Order attached, dated 2001 , enjoining all of the persons on the Cover sheet from ever using the name Georgia Tribe of Eastern Cherokee, or interfering with the operation of the Tribe and its activities.
Fraud Number 4
P.O. Box 1993, Dahlonega, Georgia (The alleged address of the Georgia Tribe of Eastern Cherokee by Johnny Chattin is a complete LIE.) Attached is a letter from the Postmaster of Dahlonega, Georgia, stating that P.O. Box 1993 was not in existence when the Georgia legislature recognized the Georgia Tribe of Eastern Cherokee. The date of recognition was inserted into the bill as the address by mistake by a clerical error. Another example of Johnny Chattin’s violation of the Court Order against him.
The Postmaster's letter affirming that fact is attached and is addresses to the legitimate Georgia Tribe of Eastern Cherokee, P.O. Box 1915, Cumming, Georgia 30028
